Matt O’Brien is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Westgate Growth Partners. Raised in a family of small business owners in Brawley, California, Matt learned the importance of empathy, perseverance, and curiosity in leadership early in life.

Before launching Westgate, Matt built his career at Newmark and Beverly Pacific, where he closed over $250 million in financing, underwrote more than $12 billion in acquisitions, and helped grow the firm’s portfolio from $2.5 billion to $4.8 billion AUM. His experience spans real estate, operations, and alternative investments, giving him a broad foundation in building and scaling businesses.

Matt hold’s a degree in Economics from UCLA. Matt’s approach to leadership is shaped by his entrepreneurial upbringing, travel, and belief that authentic connection drives lasting success.

Zach Pierce is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Westgate Growth Partners. Growing up in a family of small business owners in Southern California, Zach saw firsthand the commitment and perseverance required to build something lasting.

Before launching Westgate, he helped lead and scale a healthcare technology company through periods of rapid growth and transformation, gaining experience across strategy, operations, and finance. He began his career in Corporate and Investment Banking at Wells Fargo, underwriting more than $2 billion in financings for institutional investors and operators.

Zach holds a degree in Business Economics from UCLA and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. His approach to ownership is grounded in discipline, integrity, and a long-term commitment to building enduring businesses.
